Young House Family Services recently received $6,677.00 from Variety Club of Iowa for the replacement of sixteen dressers at Woodlands Treatment Center. Custom-built by Sleepy Hollow Furniture in New London, the dressers have a space for hanging clothes and open shelves for personal belongings and clothing items. The dressers provide much needed storage space for the residents.
Woodlands Treatment Center provides residential and substance abuse treatment and services to at-risk youth.

Four different families were adopted!

Four different families were “adopted” by Two Rivers Insurance Services and EBS this Christmas season through Young House Family Services. Additional items were also purchased to help stock the Family Based Services and Resource Program “Pantry Closets” with items that can be used year round to help children and families in need!

Staff members at Two Rivers Insurance and Employee Benefit Systems participate in the Friday Jean Fund project. Employees donate money each Friday for the privilege of wearing jeans to work that day. All the money that is earned goes into the Friday Jean Fund and is used to benefit children and families in our community! Each department has a staff member that is on the Friday Jeans Fund Committee that helps throughout the year with donations and fundraisers.

Committee members recently coordinated shopping efforts to buy Christmas gifts for families in need. Thank you Two Rivers Insurance and EBS for helping Young House Family Services make a difference in the lives of children and families!
