Gateway Treatment Center


Gateway Treatment Center is a program of
Young House Family Services.

DAY TREATMENT

¨    Our on-site staff provides supervision, skill development, crisis intervention and behavior management.

¨    Students are referred to the Day Treatment Program from area schools or a Juvenile Court Officer.

¨    Young House staff provides ongoing classroom monitoring and crisis intervention, including redirection and progressive intervention. All staff are trained in non-violent crisis intervention using the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Model..


SCHOOL PROGRAM

¨    Our School Program follows the schedule of the Ottumwa School Calendar and the academic material is provided through the Ottumwa School District and AEA.

¨    It is staffed with instructors employed by the Ottumwa School District and Young House personnel to provide behavior intervention and academic assistance.

¨    Students are referred to the School Program by area schools and AEA.

¨    Students in the School Program have been displayed behaviors that either endangered themselves or other students, destruction of property, or extremely disruptive in the school setting to where it interfered with the learning process of other students in their school.


REMEDIAL SERVICES

¨    Individual and Family counseling are also available to Medicaid-eligible students in the Day Treatment and School Programs.


Gateway Treament Center is a program of Young House Family Services, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We rely heavily on the generosity of United Way, grants and our community for on-going needs.
