Christamore Family Treatment Center

Christamore Family Treatment Center is a program of
Young House Family Services.

RESIDENTIAL

¨    We provide treatment services for at-risk adolescents and their families designed to accomodate the needs of both male and female clients ages 11 - 17.

¨    Our residential program has bed space for 16 residents, and it is a comphrehensive level of group care. Residents attend school on-campus, and the educational program will accommodate clients with special educational needs.

¨    Psychiatric services, including medication evaluations and medication management, are provided by Dr. Christopher Okiishi. All other medical needs are met through service providers within the community.

¨    Residents are referred to the Residential Program by a DHS Social Worker or a Juvenile Court Officer.

¨    The treatment needs of our clients may include mental health issues, substance abuse, grief issues, behavior disorders, and sexual and physical abuse issues.

¨    Treatment services include intensive skill development to teach clients skills such as anger management, coping skills, social skills, etc., as well as individual, family and group therapy.

DAY TREATMENT

¨    Students are referred to the Day Treatment Program from area schools or a Juvenile Court Officer.

¨    Young House staff provides ongoing classroom monitoring and crisis intervention, including redirection and progressive intervention. All staff are trained in non-violent crisis intervention using the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Model..

SCHOOL PROGRAM

¨    Our School Program follows the schedule of the Mt. Pleasant School Calendar and the academic material is provided through the Mt. Pleasant School District and AEA.

¨    It is staffed with its own certified teachers and staff that assist with behavior intervention and academic assistance.

¨    Students are referred to the School Program by area schools and AEA.

¨    Students in the School Program have been displayed behaviors that either endangered themselves or other students, destruction of property, or extremely disruptive in the school setting to where it interfered with the learning process of other students in their school.

REMEDIAL SERVICES

Christamore has experienced tremendous growth in our School Programs over the last few years. We have several kids that are private pay by schools or individuals. Christamore is a program of Young House Family Services, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We rely heavily on the generosity of United Way, grants and our community for on-going needs.
