Brief Intensive Services for Families


The Brief Intensive Services is a program of
Young House Family Services.

PROVIDES:

¨    Family Team Meeting *

¨    Family Counseling

¨    Parenting Skills

¨    Anger Management Skills

¨    Child Development Information

¨    Family Communication Skills

¨    Household Management Skills

¨    Vocational Counseling

¨    Role Modeling

¨    Family Functional Assessment

¨    Referrals to Community Resources

¨    Assessment of Family Strengths and Needs

¨    Advocating for Family Needs

¨    Crisis Intervention, as Needed

OFFERS:

In-home assistance to families with children ages 6 - 17 who reside in Des Moines, Henry, Lee and Louisa Counties who have no involvement with the Department of Human Services or Juvenile Court Services.

¨    The family receive Brief Intensive Services for up to 6 months.

¨    There is no cost to the family for program participation.

REFERRALS ACCEPTED FROM:

¨    Department of Human Services

¨    Juvenile Court Services

¨    Law Enforcement

¨    School Personnel

¨    Community Service Agencies

¨    Direct Request by Family


* The Family Team Meeting process provides a positive experience for family members. The FTM process utilizes the family's strengths, along with existing support systems. Together, decisions and plans are made to ensure success for the family.
