Who qualifies for Remedial Services?
If your child is currently on Medicaid Title 19, they qualify for Remedial Services. Medicaid eligibility is determined by the State of Iowa and is based on parents' income. If you are
not sure if you or the family/child in need of help is Medicaid eligible, contact Young House for more information.
What is the Medicaid approval process?
Once you decide to pursue Remedial Services for your child, Young House will make an appointment for you to meet with a licensed counselor. This counselor will do the behavioral
assessment necessary to obtain authorization for Medicaid services. This counselor will also work with you and your child to identify problems and
make a treatment plan with realistic goals. Medicaid approval is generally given within several days and then services can begin.
