The Nurturing Program

"Because kids don't come with instruction manuals..."

The Nurturing Program for Parents & Children is designed to help parents improve their parenting skills to become better more effective parents. Parents learn positive behavioral management techniques and the importance of positive family interactions.

The Nurturing Program had been selected as a Model Parenting Program by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. It teaches parents alternatives to yelling and spanking, along with communication skills to better understand and respect the needs of their children.

This program is open to everyone. Parents do not have to be having problems with their children. The Nurturing Program helps parents understand the interactions, both negative and positive, between parents and their children and how these can affect a child's behavior in the future.

Parent and child classes designed to increase self-esteem of family members, teach child development and behavior management skills.

Cost of Having a Baby
Adding up the financial cost of having a baby is enough to make a lot of people think twice before getting pregnant. Costs start during pregnancy, continue through childbirth, go on through babyhood... and on through the child's life. This article will review the costs to consider as you plan for childbirth and your baby's first year.
