Event: “For Better, For Worse – Couples Who Foster – Strategies for Success”
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Location: Ramada Inn, Bettendorf, IA
All licensed foster and adoptive parents are invited to attend this fun and enlightening 6-hour workshop!
The goal of this training is for couples to attend together to examine the impact of foster care and adoption on their marriage, as well as characteristics of a healthy marriage. It is presented by Mike McGuire, foster parent, foster-adoptive parent liaison, trainer, and Probation/Parole officer.
6 hours of Foster Parent Training Credit are available.
The training runs from 9:00am-4:30pm. You will have an hour break for lunch, on your own.

Please write down questions you have and submit them to Lisa Metzler, IFAPA Peer Liaison ( lmetzler@southslope.net ) so a list can be printed up to hand out to everyone the night of the meeting. This is a wonderful opportunity for DHS and foster parents to have a discussion together. Two hours of foster parent training credit will be given.
